The 800th military transport aircraft bearing supplies for the IDF since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, arrived Tuesday morning in Israel.
The airlifts have delivered military equipment and weapons, including – following the start of the second Trump Administration — heavy bombs that were previously ordered and paid for by Israel but had been held back.
The operation is being coordinated by the [Defense Ministry’s] Defense Procurement Directorate (DPD) via the International Defense Transportation Unit, in collaboration with the IMOD’s Mission to the US, the IDF Planning and Force Build-Up Directorate, and the Israeli Air Force (IAF).
More than 90,000 tons of military equipment have been delivered to Israel via the 800 flights, along with some 140 maritime shipments.
No specifics were revealed about the cargo, nor was information was released about the number of airlifts that came from the United States, or where else they may have originated.
“The procured and transported equipment includes munitions, armored vehicles, individual protective equipment, and medical supplies,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
“In conjunction with the IMOD’s initiative to expand Israel’s domestic defense production capabilities, this air and maritime transport operation constitutes a critical element in maintaining operational continuity, fulfilling comprehensive IDF requirements for achieving wartime objectives, and enhancing force readiness.”
